We arrived in Rome and our first visit was to the Palazzo Massimo alle Terme. We continue our tour visiting the fountains of the Piazza Republica, the Tritone fountain and the Fontana della barcaccia in the Piazza di Spagna.
In the afternoon we go to Piazza del Popolo, we reach the most famous fountain in Rome, the Fontana di Trevi, and finally we can not resist the temptation to see the Colosseum, even at night.
We got up early to go visit the Vatican. We visit the treasures that houses the basilica of San Pietro, among which stands out Bernini's baldachin. After crossing the Piazza San Pietro we visited the Castelo St.Angelo.
After lunch we start our tour from the Bocca della verita, towards the district of Campo dè Fiori, ending at Piazza Navona. Highlight the Teatro di Marcello, the Largo di Torre Argentina and the Pantheon.
The last day we visited an icon of Rome: the Colosseum, amphitheater of the Roman Empire, built in the first century and declared a World Heritage Site in 1980 by UNESCO and one of the New Seven Wonders of the Modern World.
We continue through the Roman Forum. A processional path, the Via Sacra, crosses the Roman Forum connecting it to the Colosseum. At the end of the Empire it lost its daily use, remaining as a sacred place.
